Jersey, is completely a family film. It is the remake of the official telugu film Jersey(2019). Almost everything you got in this movie, a sweet relationship between father and son, Cricket that we all love, a love story and too many emotions. The duration of the movie is 2Hours 50Minute but you cannot loose interest because the story is simple and easy, so that you can connect easily. 

The plot of the story is about a cricketer(Arjun Talwar), who got frustrated and leave the field of cricket and shifted towards government job but on that job, he has been suspended on corruption charges. After that nothing is going well. His wife (Vidya) bears all the financial burden of the family. One day his son (Kittu), asks him to buy the team India jersey. Arjun made the promise to buy the team India jersey, but he cannot afford that Rs.500 jersey for his son (Kittu) and he learned that it's beyond his budget. SO IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FIRST- HALF! 

Second- half plot is revolving around an idol father and a strong husband, who decides to return in the field of cricket, at the age of 36 to prove his worth to his family. 

WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!

     DOES HE REALLY SUCCEED? 

SO HERE, I AM GIVING YOU THE RED ALERT!!!

If you are not a movie person so, I am here dear to tell you the rest of the story.

SPOILER- RED ALERT! 

In the second half of the story, Arjun decides to return in the cricket stadium after 10 years, just for his family. There is a coach (Madhav Sharma), who treats Arjun like his son. He support him, helped him and get him selected in the cricket team. After the 1 month of training, only 15 players out of 35 got selected  to play Ranji Tournament.

So, on the selection day, the name of the Arjun Talwar is in the list and yup he got selected to play for Ranji Tournament. 

Now the climax, 

So the climax, is shaped up to be the biggest twist that you eagerly wants to know that what will be the ending. 

So, In the Ranji Tournament, Arjun's team won the match and he got selected for Indian cricket team, but after 2 days later, he passed away due to heart failure.

This is the twist that he already knows, he is suffering from the heart disease and that's why he left cricket in his early age. The doctor said, if he play more and taking physical pressure, so it's not good for his health. After knowing all this, he still have the courage to play at the age of 36 just for his family. He proved that an unsuccessful man can also got success, if he has much confidence. And finally, his son (Kittu) got the team India jersey from Indian cricket team. 

As a potential viewer-

The acting of Shahid Kapoor is absolutely perfect. His emotions, expressions are so real. Shahid is one of the best actor, at present in Indian cinema. Mrunal Thakur also plays her role well. Pankaj Kapur screen presence is so real and radiant. Ronit Kamra's acting definitely binds you with the whole movie.

My rating for the movie is 3/5. I really appreciate the story of the movie, acting of Shahid and Mrunal and also the good taste of music. 

If you already watched the original one, then there is no use to give a watch to remake one because there is nothing new but you didn't watch yet the original one, then definitely go for remake one, it's totally entertaining, binds you till the end, and also worth it for your time and money.
