The opening scene of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 shows the Thakur family of Bhawanigarh together in their haveli’s hall. A priest is saying some chants in an attempt to trap Manjulika spirit. He succeeds and locks her in one of the haveli’s rooms. The Thakurs leave their lavish house and live somewhere else.
The story, then jumps to 18 years later, when Reet Thakur (Kiara Advani) meets Ruhaan Randhawa (Kartik Aaryan).
Reet Thakur, who is travelling home for her marriage on a bus to Chandigarh. Both of them miss their bus to attend a music festival. The bus, they were supposed to be went, it falls into a ditch and all the passengers died. Reet attempts to contact her family, who assume she has died, and over the phone, she overhears that her cousin and her fiancé are actually in love and did not want Reet's wedding to happen. Reet decides to play dead for a while so that her fiancé and cousin can marry instead.
Reet and Ruhaan reach Bhawanigarh and decided to hide in that haveli, where the spirit is trapped.
However, the opened haveli door gets noticed, and the Thakurs are informed. Everyone is worried about how it happened.
Ruhan turns into ‘Ruh baba’ and convinces all the family that he was brought there by Reet's spirit. Using what Reet told him before, he claims that her spirit wishes to stay in the palace with her family and see her cousin get married.

Ruhaan becomes famous in the village for his supposed powers and he and Reet fall in love.

Anjulika(Tabu), Reet's sister-in-law, warns Ruhaan about Manjulika and the locked room.

Manjulika and Anjulika were identical twins from Kolkata who came to the palace with their father after he got a job there as an accountant. He favoured Anjulika over her sister, leading to a jealous Manjulika seeking refuge in practicing black magic. Manjulika fell in love with Uday Thakur, but Uday chose Anjulika over her. Angered, she resolved to kill her sister after killing their father. Anjulika stabbed Manjulika in self-defense. Since then, her spirit has killed eight members of the family and pushed Uday from the balcony, paralysing him.

One night, Ruhaan and Reet are seen by Chhote Pandit(Rajpal Yadav). He and the other priests demand a search of the Haveli to prove Ruhaan a liar.

Knowing it is the one room no one will search, Ruhaan and Reet open Manjulika's room and hide there, freeing the spirit.

SPOILER- RED ALERT!

In the second-half, Anjulika is attacked by Manjulika(spirit) and discovers Reet is alive.

The suspense of the story, is shaped up to be the biggest twist...

Ruhaan discovered the truth, after the spirit spared him and told him to leave and stay safe. 

On Anjulika's wedding night, Manjulika had switched places with her, using black magic. It was Anjulika who was stabbed by her sister(Manjulika).

Somehow, The husband of Anjulika found that Black magic doll and he gets to know that Anjulika is dead and Manjulika is pretending to be her, before he does anything, Manjulika push him from the roof and he got Paralysed.
She also killed the eight family members because they too had discovered her true identity.

Anjulika's spirit brutally attacks Manjulika and traps her in the same locked room.

She has a moment with her family and thanks Ruhaan for revealing her story.

AS A POTENTIAL VIEWER

My rating for the movie is 3/5.

The acting of Tabu is mind blowing, you will definitely connects with her. The acting of Kiara Advani is perfect, her screen presence is so real. The acting and comedy timing of Kartik Aryan is superb. However, some dialogues are useless but Kartik will definitely makes you laugh.

Rajpal Yadav also brings a different level of comedy with his dialogues and expressions.

The story of the movie is a mixture of horror and comedy.
Twist and turns you will get in the movie, that will binds you till the end.

It has suspense and logical explanation of everything.
So, overall Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is an interesting film, which is having different storyline.
If you are in the mood of watching suspense, horror comedy film, then definitely go for it . It worths your time and money.
